Overview:
This position will use their skillset to ship produced Pad, Pole, or 3Phase transformers while considering the values and goals of ERMCO.
Responsibilities:
Understand and carry out detailed written/verbal instructions regarding verifying and documenting outgoing shipments and while preparing items for shipment. Ensure safe and proper operation of tools and equipment. Safely operate motorized lift equipment. Repeatedly lift/move material that is 50+ lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices and/or co-workers. Ensure conformity of ALL outbound shipments and various shipping documents to ERMCO standards. Follow all ERMCO safety polices and procedures.
Qualifications:
Communicate, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions;
Use iPad, computer, and/or other electronic communication devices;
Work in a team environment with open communication and collaboration;
Use good organizational skills and show attention to detail;
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole units of measure;
Demonstrate proper lifting techniques;
Grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials;
Use hand scanners and radio devices;
Operate various types of motorized fork trucks;
Must be able to lift, push/pull 50 lbs.;
Frequent standing and walking is necessary;
Frequent sitting, stooping, reaching, or climbing;
20/40 vision is required with or without the use of corrective glasses and/or contact lens, as well as normal peripheral vision no less than 70, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.;
Must comply with all plant safety policies and procedures and any special department safety rules;
Must be able to wear all required PPE including, but not limited to: safety toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
