We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Lead. The successful candidate will have spent two (2) or more years in a warehouse environment in inventory functions. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and possesses the physical and mental stamina this role requires. You will play an important role in ensuring our inventory is accurate. * Oversee staff in all activities associated with physically performing inventory counts, record recording and reporting data results, assisting with research, and reconciling inventory discrepancies.

* Runs inventory report using the appropriate inventory query from WMS program and transfers data to Count Sheet template and shared network.

* Prints Count Sheets in location sequence.

* Conducts physical inventory count and enters quantity onto Count Sheet.

* Records and enters count results into system files.

* Researches inventory discrepancies by cycle counting discrepant items.

* Run transaction history to identify the last locations the product was stored.

* Conduct search of "Staging" areas.

* Perform "Empty" location audits.

* Record and report the results of the count and audits.

* Report findings to department manager or designated representative.

* Conduct regular meetings with staff to assess groups overall status; discuss ideas for improvement and inform staff of new developments.

* Conduct training with staff to ensure all are familiar with and knowledgeable of the formal inventory count process.

* 3 years or more in a warehouse order picking experience

* Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training

* Physical stamina. This includes hours of walking, standing, and lifting each day.

* Able to work long hours on ones feet and perform physically demanding tasks.

* Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

* Attention to detail Because you are charged with maintaining accurate inventory. Inventory Control Leads need to have a high level of attention to detail. This will enable them to keep finding variances quickly and correct the inventory before affecting the customer.

* Communication skills Inventory Control Leads regularly communicate with internal customers and other departments. Thus, they must have excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling them to lead meetings, send and reply to emails, and resolve team disputes.

* Basic financial skills Inventory Control Leads will need to keep track of inventory that are of high value to the company. For this reason, they must be able to understand and apply basic principles of financing and accounting.

* Organizational skills Since they are responsible for assigning counts, reporting variances, and managing other assigned duties, its important that Inventory Control Leads possess excellent organizational skills.

* Computer skills Warehouse Management System, spreadsheet, and emails are part of the job. Therefore, the Inventory Control Lead must be an intermediate user of Microsoft Excel and Word, along with 2 or more years using WMS with an applicable understanding of the relations of various transactions.

* OK with shift work and possible graveyard hours

* Familiar with common warehouse tools and equipment

Education Requirements: * High school diploma or GED equivalent

* Must be forklift trained and certified within 30 days of hire.
