The Atrium at Rocky Hill, an all memory care assisted living community specializing in mind and memory support for senior is searching for an Assisted Living Director of Nursing! in this role you will oversee the quality of resident care at The Atrium at Rocky Hill and ensure compliance within all company polices and state regulations. You will also manage nursing staff and interact with residents and families.
Job Responsibilities
As an Assisted Living Director of Nursing for Benchmark Senior Living, you will be responsible for the quality of resident care at your facility. You will also appropriately schedule employees including Nurses, Aides and other staff members to ensure that there are enough people to provide adequate care for our seniors.
Additional responsibilities for the Assisted Living Director of Nursing include:
- Communicating with families and friends of residents
- Assuring compliance with all resident care related regulations (e.g., medication management)
- Documenting and providing accurate record-keeping, as appropriate
- Demonstrating personal/resident safety methods and procedures
- Taking corrective action and disciplining employees in writing, if necessary
- Representing Benchmark Senior Living with pride and knowledge so as to educate outside groups and organizations
Requirements:
- Being a Registered Nurse, per state regulations; Bachelor's degree in Nursing a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a care setting; Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice setting experience a plus
- Certified in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association a plus
- Knowledge of Dementia care a plus
