Job Details

Work directly for a Central New Jersey (Somerset County) area Architectural Firm servicing public sector clients, on projects ranging from capital improvements to new construction.

Architectural Project Manager:

Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for general oversight and management for multiple projects and clients.
The Project Manager will be expected to work on and manage multiple projects and clients in various stages of completion at any one time. It is his/her responsibility to work with the Architects and Project Coordinators to ensure that all projects are moving forward appropriately to meet client expectations and schedules.

Duties / Responsibilities:
* Oversee each project"s compliance with the required technical aspects, schedule, budget, and client expectations
* Serve as the primary client contact throughout the duration of a project
* Manage the workload of production staff assigned to the project. This includes the following:
o Assigning tasks and reviewing the output of Architects and Project Coordinators
o Providing weekly forecasts for the project team"s efforts
o Managing project progress to ensure that projects stay within the allocated hours and budget
* Perform periodic and ongoing checks of project deliverables, with a goal of eliminating errors, omissions, mistakes, and ambiguous items
* Assist the Architect and/or Project Coordinator with code review and analysis
* Assist Project Coordinators in interacting with consultants

* Prepare and edit specifications with the assistance of Architect and/or Project Coordinator
* Assist Architect and/or Project Coordinator in developing technical aspects of a project
* Oversee construction phase activities, including reviewing and signing off on payment requisitions, change orders, etc.
* Assist the firm"s marketing efforts through collaborating with the Principals and Proposal Coordinator in writing proposals and developing fee schedules
* Cultivate additional project opportunities though existing client relationships
* Review and approve project bills and invoices
* Provide staffing needs to the Principals

Job Requirements

Requirements:
The Project Manager typically holds a current license and has a minimum of five years" experience in the field.
The Project Manager must be fluent in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite of software. The Project Manager shall also have a working knowledge of Revit, Photoshop, and Newforma (or other similar project management software).
