No Remote Our client (non-union, automotive tier 1 supplier) which is a leader in their field is seeking a Sales Representative to manage existing customer accounts in assigned areas. To direct staff when reviewing and completing contract reviews. To promote client's capabilities to new and existing clients in a professional manner. To oversee communications between staff and customers.
**AUTHORITY:**
To complete contract reviews for new and revised parts and represent the client when negotiating and entering into contracts on behalf of the company.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**: * To represent the company in an honest, effective manner in all areas of business.
* Following ISO/TS 16949 contract review procedures, develop cost breakdown worksheets, then quote new products to customers. Decline to quote parts that do not meet company capabilities or resources.
* Initiate the development of new prototype or production parts and participate on APQP teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
* Work with cost accountants, engineers, sales coordinators and executive management team to analyze part costs and respond to customer cost reduction initiatives.
* To prepare sales forecasts based on assigned responsibilities, using customer feedback and forecasting services. To communicate fluctuations in customer demand for products in a timely manner to all affected staff.
* Document and notify company personnel in a timely manner of new product designs, pricing changes, etc. Provide information to all departments concerned.
* Report production or quality issues to the customer and assist in finding ways to correct problems to the customers satisfaction.
* Visit established accounts on a regular basis and increase existing sales as established by incentive programs. Promote the company to new or potential customers.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President and Sales Manager.
****REQUIREMENTS:****
* A Bachelors Degree in an engineering or business discipline
* 5 years of sales in an automotive tier 1 environment
* Knowledge of ISO9001/TS16949, ISO14001.
* Open to travel- @ 25% when needed.
