Position Summary: The Au Bon Pain Customer Service Specialist performs a variety of duties including food preparation, cashiering, providing customer service, stocking and cleaning while following all Au Bon Pain and food safety and sanitation policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Must have a High School diploma or GED.

Must be able to effectively write and communicate in English.

Must have basic math skills.

Must be able to exert well paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours.

Must have the ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds in weight.

Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and use finger dexterity for periods up to 4 hours at a time.

Must be able to stand for up to four (4) hours at a time.

Must be able to visually differentiate colors for the purposes of food safety.

Must be able to work when exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise.

Must be able to work independently with the appropriate amount of supervision.

Preferred Qualifications: While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

One year in a food preparation position.

Experience in a high volume a la carte operation and proven customer service skills.

Successful cash register experience.

Experience with MICROS registers.

Working knowledge of standard commercial kitchen equipment.

Current managerial ServSafe certification.

Demonstrates a professional demeanor.

Experience working with students and a diverse multi cultural staff.

Successful experience assisting customers.

Special Instructions to Applicants: This full time position is approximately nine months/year. Shifts may vary based on operational needs. Primary hours are 1:00pm-8:30pm Monday-Thursday, Friday 9:30am-5:00pm Friday with a Sunday rotation per the union contract. This position will begin in January 2022.

| This position will replace absent teachers at the Bombeck Family Learning Center. The responsibility is for the care and education of children birth through age 5 years. This position provides nurturing care and appropriate learning experiences within a team-teaching setting. This position is part-time, less than 1000 hours per year, and on call as needed.
