Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience: - Previous experience in a legal setting or administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
Job Duties: Screening: - Conduct introductory interrogations to determine jurisdictional basis for filing a complaint.
- Complete screenings in 10-15 minutes, providing appropriate referrals if outside DHR jurisdiction.
- Interact and communicate professionally and courteously.
Intake: - Respond to walk-in, telephone, and written inquiries.
- Define discrimination and explain the DHR complaint process.
- Complete complaint intake forms with accurate and detailed information.
- Prepare evidence for case files, ensuring documentation is tabbed, legible, and entered promptly.
- Process case-related mail and perform general office tasks (typing, scanning, photocopying, faxing, filing).
- Tailor requests and log supplemental information from Complainants and Respondents.
- Confirm and direct mail once investigation is initiated.
Conciliation: - Initiate conciliation, contact parties to assess willingness, and understand their desires.
- Clearly and concisely describe mediation and conciliation processes.
- Initiate upon request of Regional Director, with follow-up calls within five days if no response.
Schedule Management: - Schedule investigative activities for Human Rights Specialist I.
- Maintain a calendar of investigator activities and coordinate events after Front End Case Management meetings.
- Schedule events within four weeks of request, ensuring accurate and timely information for notice of conference.
Case Management System (CMS): - Utilize the Case Management System to document and track responses, schedule interviews, and generate forms.
- Ensure proper and prompt data entry into CMS, and generate required reports when needed.
- Conduct caseload audits under the direction of HRS II, including inventory of physical case files.
- Perform quarterly caseload audits, accounting for missing files and making corrections on CMS.
- ssist with processing mail, case closing, and training of office interns and new staff.

- Proficiency in using office equipment and software.
Misc. Information: - Shift Days/Times: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
- Interview will be conducted In-person preferred or video conferencing based on the availability.
- Training is provided to the candidate.
